There were several specific models of this boat, with the Mark I built of steel, the Mark II built of plywood, and the Mark III built of fiberglass. Most of these boats were built by the Coast Guard’s Curtis Bay Yard over the period 1954 to 1983, with the Mark III version boats built by the Pearson Corp., Bristol, RI.
